Couple’s Reviews.

My husband and I got married at Blue Hill Farm in September of 2023, and it was absolutely the most perfect place to have a wedding. From the ceremony backdrop of rolling mountains, to the string lights-lit dance floor, our wedding was everything my husband and I hoped for. Waldo and Shirley were beyond accommodating, communicative, and warm -- overall the most pleasant folks to work with. They even jumped in at the last minute and helped us find a new caterer when issues arose for us the week prior to the wedding. They were essentially our wedding planners in the process, and we couldn't be more grateful for their efficiency, organization, experience, and attention to detail. We had our dinner in the big field behind the property, and with the autumn colors, it was just stunning. It was especially great to be able to customize the locations of the different elements of our reception -- the cocktail hour on the side of the house, dinner in the big field, and dancing in the carriage house. Our guests raved about the stunning views and loved moving around the property during the evening. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Waldo and Shirley (and Yogi, the couple's golden retriever!) and we're in love with what was the most perfect day at Blue Hill Farm. If you're looking for a magical place to get married, look no further!

Our wedding day went so smoothly thanks to Waldo and Shirley! They were so incredibly accommodating, and even allowed us to hold a brief cocktail reception before the ceremony because of a rain delay. They were extremely responsive throughout the whole planning process and gave great recommendations for our other vendors as well.

Blue Hill Farm is an amazing wedding venue with an amazing set of owners. Shirley and Waldo were so supportive and helpful from the day my now-husband and I met them for a walk-thru of the property to the morning after the wedding and beyond! From Shirley providing vendor contacts and info, ideas and pictures from other weddings held on the farm, table runners, lanterns, and other table accents, to Waldo driving our MCs into the reception on his tractor and building the perfect fire for what turned out to be a chilly night–these two really are exceptional.

When we found Blue Hill Farm we knew it was the exact location we were looking for! I wanted an outdoor wedding and the view of the rolling mountains would be perfect for our photos. Shirley and Waldo were extremely personable from our very first meeting and invited us into their home as if we were old friends. I was a DIY bride all the way, and the Tibbetts worked with me every step to ensure my dream would be reality.

I will always cherish this venue for its beauty and those who helped us during this process. Finding the perfect venue is one of the biggest check marks on a wedding checklist, upon walking onto this venue it won our hearts over instantly. If you love a modern and floral theme this is the place hands down.

Blue Hill Farm is a one-of-a-kind venue and we couldn’t have imagined our wedding anywhere else. The house itself is beautiful as a backdrop, and their land offers so many options for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner. We had our ceremony on the backside of the house with the Blue Ridge Mountains as the perfect backdrop – WOW!

Blue Hill Farm is an absolutely stunning venue full of unique qualities that other venues lack. From the views, to the gorgeous white home, to the spacious carriage house, and the beautiful plot of land, you CANNOT go wrong. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting us on how incredible Blue Hill Farm was for our wedding. What's most special, is the ability to stay the night in the home for one night or all weekend if you choose! This characteristic made it extra special for me and my bridesmaids the night before and sharing a morning of breakfast cooked by Shirley! Waldo and Shirley have great compassion for their couples and they work hard to create the wedding of your dreams. Thank you for an incredible experience!!!!!

My wife, Alexandra, and I recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at Blue Hill Farm. Upon visiting the venue for the first time, the decision was a no brainer. Our expectations were high going in, and the venue and its owners, Waldo and Shirley, did not disappoint. The rolling hills and fields provided beautiful backdrops for the ceremony and dinner, and the rustic charm of the carriage house was perfect for a tasteful and fun reception. One of our favorite things about the venue was the natural flow it provided for switching between events – from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner, to reception. The layout of the venue and coordination from Waldo and Shirley made the whole day go smoothly and kept our guests entertained. Waldo and Shirley went above and beyond to provide personalized service from the time we signed the contract to the time we left the venue on our wedding day. Their attention and genuine care made us feel like family. Our wedding day at BHF was truly the best day of our lives, and we can thank Waldo and Shirley for help making it so. We have had many guests since remark that it was the most beautiful and entertaining wedding they had ever been to. If you are considering Blue Hill Farm for your wedding venue, I highly recommend that you at least visit to view the beautiful scenery, and meet Waldo and Shirley.

Shirley and Waldo made sure our late May wedding weekend went off without a hitch! We had a great, small welcome dinner in the carriage house and on the beautiful pea gravel driveway - plenty of tables, seating, and speakers for music for the whole evening! We had a wonderful morning and afternoon preparing for our late afternoon ceremony and evening reception. The weather was sunny for the whole morning and afternoon - only sprinkling as soon as our ceremony was over. Waldo and Shirley were already prepared with the necessary tents and umbrellas for our guests to use during cocktail hour and dinner service. During cocktail hour, Blue Hill Farm let us invite wildlife ambassadors from a local wildlife rescue to visit to educate guests on cool local wildlife - Shirley and Waldo were so wonderful and flexible with requests such as that! We had three food trucks (a taco station, pizza truck, and BBQ truck) on the driveway and by the carriage house for dinner service...it went great EVEN when it was down pouring. The guests had a blast on the dance floor with a great live band in the Carriage House and Waldo put together a bonfire for us after the rain stopped. Sunday morning was our laid-back brunch for guests to say bye before they departed. It was a great way to end the weekend. We are a couple who loves animals and having Yogi and the chickens around was a blast! Shirley and Waldo are so dear to our hearts and feel like family. We are already looking forward to visiting them again soon.
